Clinical Research, Training and Consultancy Unit (CRTCU)
This unit has been established to oversee all Clinical Research, Training and Consultancy (RTC) activities at Muhimbili National Hospital – Mloganzila. The unit reports directly to the Executive Director (ED) according to current organization structure. It is entrusted to the responsibility of coordinating all research, training and teaching, research and consultancy activities conducted at the hospital.
Research
The Unit is responsible for reviewing MNH – Mloganzila research policy and make recommendations to the management, it is responsible for coordinating and monitoring research at MNH – Mloganzila. CRTCU ensures research findings are translated into quality improvement of clinical practice. The unit also coordinates to ensure all researches are passed in institutional review board (IRB) and make sure research are done following international accepted standards.
Training Coordination
The unit is responsible for coordinating of teaching activities for both local and international students. It receives process and approves applications for elective and internship for both local and foreign students (see application form).
Consultancy Coordination
The units coordinate and monitor consultancy work at MNH-Mloganzila and ensure standards are in place for staffs involved in consultancies. (see our consultancy team)
Other Functions
The unit is also responsible for coordinating and establish research and training links with local as well as international institutions in seeking research funds. It develops and oversee policies, budgets, protocols and standard operating procedures for research, training and consultancy development. Encourage and stimulate MNH – Mloganzila community to conduct research.
